NME Double Page Analysis

The colours used are white and black. These are contrasting colours so stand out and attract the audience into wanting to read the article, and buy the magazine. They use two big and bold pull quotes in the article. This is to attract the audience into wanting to read the magazine, and eventually buy it. The language used by the writer, fits in with the audience the magazine is appealing to. They are appealing to young teenagers to people in their early twenties, which words such as “cunt”. The main image is of a relaxed happy looking band. The layout of the article is set out in columns. This makes it easier for the audience to read the article. The drop cap shows the beginning of the article; it is also in the same font as the title, this creates good ‘house style’.
